Become an EduExcel Mentor

EduExcel mentors play a critical role in student retention and success. Mentors provide consistent guidance, accountability, and encouragement to scholars navigating academic and personal challenges.

Our mentorship model is volunteer-led, structured, and locally informed, requiring a modest time commitment while delivering meaningful, long-term impact.

What Will You Do

  • Provide academic and personal guidance to one assigned scholar.

  • Meet consistently (30–60 minutes per month) via call or message.

  • Encourage accountability around studies, goals, and persistence.

  • Coordinate with EduExcel if a student faces academic or financial risk.

Mentors are not expected to provide financial support.

Mentorship Requirements

Requirements

  • Be a graduate of an accredited college or university.

  • Commit to consistent engagement (30–60 minutes per month).

  • Complete a brief mentor onboarding and orientation.

  • Uphold EduExcel values of integrity, encouragement, and accountability.

  • Mentors are screened and matched based on availability and background.
